2017 McKayson LPGA – Windross Farm

At the end of September, I went with my Mum and Dad to the first NZ LPGA tournament at Windross Farm.
We watched Lydia Ko and Brooke Henderson play golf over 5 days. I got to watch all the players up close which was really exciting. I remember on one hole, Lydia Ko took a shot that landed on the path and she had to take a drop. Belen Mozo was in the lead for the first 2 days, and she got a hole in one! When I was there I noticed that the most important thing in the game is the putting, because, you might hit two shots onto the green but hit 3 putts and get a boggie. Or you could hole a really long put for a birdie.
On the Sunday it was meant to be the last round, but it had really bad weather. It was raining and sooo windy, that they had to cancel and play again on Monday. Luckily it was school holidays, so I went with my friend Gia and her Family to watch them finish their last round. At the end we got to see the prize giving and have photos with the winner Brooke Henderson.
